Stephen Hawking Predicts We Only Have 1,000 Years Left On Earth !
Stephen William Hawking who is an English theoretical physicist, cosmologists, author and Director of research at the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology thinks that humans could vanish on Earth within the next 1,000 years.
Stephen hawking says humans only have 1,000 years left on planet Earth “We must continue to go into space for the future of humanity”.
Stephen Hawking during a speech at Oxford university in Britain said: “I don’t think we’ll survive another 1,000 years without escaping beyond our fragile planet.”
“Although the chance of a disaster to planet Earth in a given year may be quite low, it adds up over time, and becomes a near certainty in the next 1,000 to 10,000 years”.
According to the Christian Science Monitor, Stephen Hawking said: “By that time, we should have spread out into space, and to other stars, so a disaster on Earth would not mean the end of the human race.”
Stephen hawking believes that the only thing that could save us from certain extinction is to settle outside of the Earth’s Sphere, on another planet or moon. This is not the first time when Stephen hawking talked about leaving Earth in order to survive. Early this year, he said in a lecture that humankind is moving closer to demise, and it’s our fault.
He said that earth’s potential is slowly passing away on a variety of man-created disasters like nuclear war, depletion of its natural resources, global warming etc. Stephen hawking ended his speech on a somewhat optimistic note:
“Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. However difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at. It matters that you don’t just give up”
